DKC02.2-100-7-FW is a motor controller. It is part of the DKC series from Bosch and is designed specifically for MKD motor control. The controller has a rated output of 100 Amps. Rated output is only available when the ambient temperature is between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius and when the site altitude is less than 1000 meters. Output of the controller derates by 20% if the temperature reaches 55 degrees Celsius. Output of the controller derates by 35% if the site altitude reaches 5000 meters. The controller has an air inlet at the bottom and an outlet at the top. It is equipped with an internal air blower for cooling. Minimum 80 millimeter spacing must be provided on the top and bottom sides to ensure the air pathways remain unobstructed. Nominal voltage on the controller DC bus is 700 Volts DC. Firmware for the unit must be ordered as a separate item. The firmware contained in the drive controller determines the functional features of the controller. The firmware has its own order number. The firmware is updated constantly to eliminate bugs without altering the main functionality. Protection category of the controller housing is IP20. The drive controller is equipped with SERCOS control interface. SERCOS is a serial real-time communication system. The control and drives are interconnected in ring topology via a fiber optic cable. Serial data is exchanged between the control and drives over fiber optic media. Use of ring topology helps to reduce the wiring to a minimum. Fiber optic cables provide the highest possible noise immunity and enable high data transfer rates at the same time. Only qualified personnel with relevant training and experience should handle the controller.
