The DDS2.1 Indramat drive controllers are produced with modular design and allow users to replace faulty parts without need to reconfigure the entire system. Bosch has designed and developed these drive control unit with IP20 degree of protection. The DDS2.1-W050-DS03-00 model of the drive controller is aimed to meet American and European quality Standards. A name plate or identification tag is used with necessary information for the commissioning engineer. This industrial drive controller operates with an input current of 50A during continuous operation and peak loads. It requires connection of two types of cables, power and motor feedback. The AC motor series such as MDD, MKD, LAR, LAF, LSF, 2AD, ADF, 1MB and MBW are well-suited for use in conjunction with this model. The applications like printing presses, machine tools, transfer facilities, and robotics are included in typical applications for the DDS2.1 drive controller. These drive controllers can be configured in terms of the desired function. The ‘W’ denotes the cooling mode which is convection for this model. The hot air is dissipated outside the control cabinet. A heat sink is provided which gathers and conducts heat transfer within the module and surrounding air. The model DDS2.1-W050-DS03-00 is designed for 300 V DC bus voltage. The device is inspected and tested according to American and European quality standards. The permissible storage temperature ranges from -30 to +85 degree Celsius. The maximum allowed installation height can be 1000 meters above sea level. Above this height and temperature, data loss may occur. The permissible ambient temperature with data deration is +55 degree Celsius. The maximum permissible relative humidity value is 95% while the absolute humidity value is 25 g/m3.
