Product Description
Excellent motion control is achieved in digital AC servo motors by Bosch Rexroth when they are combined with intelligent drive controllers such as those in the DDS series. These servo motors include those in the MDD, MKD, LAF, and LAR series. Together, the drive controllers and servo motors also form cost-effective, rapid-response automation systems.
The DDS03.1-W050-RA02-02-FW is one of the digital drive controllers in Bosch Rexroth’s modular DDS drive system. It is equipped with an ANALOG interface, which it uses to communicate with digital intelligent AC servo drives. This drive controller is used to achieve motion control in motors with Resolver Feedback. It is cooled via heat technology, a heat dissipation mechanism where the cooling airflow is within the control cabinet housing it. A sizable control cabinet is required for this cooling method, but the installation and mounting are simplified. The control cabinet has an IP 10 Ingress Protection rating according to DIN 40 050; hence, it does not admit external solid objects over 50mm.
An Indramat feedback cable with a maximum length of 75m is used to connect the DDS03.1-W050-RA02-02-FW to its servo motor. This cable contains lines for the motor power connection and protective conductor connection, and shielded cables for the motor’s temperature monitoring and its brake. The drive controller can be connected to all Indramat supply units with a regulated DC 24V, and its supply unit can also be mounted in its control cabinet. It works with a designated DC bus voltage of 300V with a ±15% tolerance and has a current rating of 50A. This model also supports firmware use, but it must be ordered as a separate sub-item.
