A configured drive controller includes the basic unit, plugin modules, software module and firmware. Customers need to order DDS controller firmware as a separate item. The location of the firmware on the controller is the software module. The location for the programmed drive parameters is also the software module. The location of the software module on the controller is slot U5 on the basic unit. A command communication module is part of every DDS controller. Its location is slot U1 on the basic unit. The command communication module on the DDS03.1-W030-DC01-01-FW supports Interbus-S. Interbus is a serial bus system that transmits data between control systems and spatially distributed I/O modules connected to sensors and actuators.
