Bosch Rexroth’s digital AC servo motors, such as those in the MDD, MKD, LAR, 1MB, and MBW series, are used to create rapid-response drives. To achieve this, they are combined with the drive controllers in the DDS series. These innovative drive controllers are components of the DDS drive system by the manufacturer and are used in printing and packaging machines, robotics,  and handling machines.

The DDS02.2-W200-BE78-00-FW is a model of the Bosch Rexroth DDS drive controllers. It is equipped with a heat technology cooling system where heat dissipation takes place within its control cabinet. Hence, the drive controller should be installed in a large control cabinet and requires air conditioning. This control cabinet will not admit solid materials larger than 50mm; thus, its Ingress Protection rating according to EN 60529 is IP 10. With its SERCOS plug-in module, the drive controller can be used to operate digital drives with SERCOS-compatible controls via a fiber optic cable. This plug-in module also offers inputs for evaluating reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs.

Firmware use is allowed with the DDS02.2-W200-BE78-00-FW, but it must be ordered as a separate sub-item. The drive controller has a 200A current rating and works with a designated DC bus voltage of 300V with a tolerance of ±15%. It also supports all Indramat supply units with a 24V DC regulated voltage. Motion control can be achieved in motors with resolver feedback or digital servo feedback using this DDS drive controller model. Its supply unit can be mounted with it in its control cabinet to ensure space optimization. The recommended ambient temperature for its operation is between 0^oC and 45^oC.
