Product Description
The Bosch DDS02.2-W200-BE24-01-FW is a DDS drive controller. It features SERCOS command communication. SERCOS is an acronym for Serial Real-time Communications System. It allows fast communication between control devices over fiber optics. The nodes or devices on the SERCOS network are deployed in ring topology. One of the main benefits of ring topology is redundancy: communication is not affected by damage or cut to a single fiber, or by unavailability of a single node on the network. The SERCOS standard supports 2 Mbps and 4 Mbps data rates. Enhanced versions of the standard, such as SERCOS II, are fully compatible with Ethernet and support 100 Mbps data rates. The slot on the controller that is designed for the command module is U1. Firmware for the DDS02.2-W200-BE24-01-FW controller is ordered separately from the hardware.
The firmware is stored on a software module. A firmware type plate on the software module allows identification of the firmware version. Drive parameters programmed by the operator are also stored on the software module. The slot on the DDS02.2-W200-BE24-01-FW that is designated for the software module is U5. Three slots on the DDS02.2-W200-BE24-01-FW are available for optional plug in modules. The modular architecture of the controller allows adaptation to a wide range of customer applications. Motor feedback methods supported by the DDS02.2-W200-BE24-01-FW include encoder-based digital servo feedback and resolver-based feedback. Nominal current output rating of the controller is 200 Amps. The output of the DDS02.2-W200-BE24-01-FW derates if the controller is operated under non-specified conditions. The controller is a convection cooled device that dissipates heat inside the control cabinet. The recommended working temperature range is 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. The maximum permitted temperature with derated output is 55 degrees Celsius.
