Product Description
The Bosch DDS02.2-W200-BA35-01-FW is the basic unit of a DDS modular drive controller. A complete DDS drive controller is comprised of a basic unit, a software module, a command communication module, firmware and up to three optional hardware modules. The firmware for the DDS02.2-W200-BA35-01-FW is ordered separately. The controller firmware is stored on the software module. The operating parameters for the controller are also stored on the software module. In case of drive failure, the software module can be removed and moved to a replacement drive. This allows rapid commissioning of the replacement drive and minimizes system downtime. The command communication module installed on the DDS02.2-W200-BA35-01-FW is analog. Other options for command communication include SERCOS and single-axis positioning. The DDS02.2-W200-BA35-01-FW support two feedback methods: resolver feedback and digital servo feedback.
Rated output of the DDS02.2-W200-BA35-01-FW is 200 Amps. The rated output is available only when the controller is operated under specified ambient conditions. The ambient conditions specified by Bosch include 0 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature and 0 to 1000 meters altitude. The controller output derates if either the ambient temperature or the altitude exceeds specified limits. The respective load factors multiply when both the temperature and altitude exceed specified limits simultaneously. The DDS02.2-W200-BA35-01-FW is designed for vertical mounting. It dissipates heat inside the cabinet. Cool air enters at the bottom of the controller and exits at the top. Either air conditioning or large cabinets need to be used to maintain ambient temperature within specified limits. The DDS02.2-W200-BA35-01-FW is supplied in an IP20 rated enclosure. Outdoor use mandates drive mounting in a cabinet that provides protection against the elements. Only trained professionals should operate the drive system.
