Product Description
The DDS drive system is a product in Bosch Rexroth’s wide range of industrial solutions. They are flexibly combined with AC motors from Bosch Rexroth like those in the MDD, MKD, LAR, and MBW series to create rapid-response drives. With a modular configuration, the DDS drive controllers have a high level of flexibility and are useful in different industrial applications. Their areas of applications include machine tools, textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, and handling machines.
The DDS02.2-W100-BE42-00 is a drive controller model in the Bosch Rexroth DDS drive series and has a rated current of 100A. It is cooled via heat technology and is mounted into a control cabinet. Heat is effectively dissipated within this control cabinet, and minimal installation effort is required. The supply unit is also in the control cabinet, which is a product of the Ingress protection class IP 10 according to EN 60529. This protection class indicates that the control cabinet and, by extension, the drive controller, are protected against penetration by solid objects over 50mm in diameter. The drive controller itself has a protection class of IP 20 which means that it is protected against extrinsic objects of 12mm in diameter or more.
Communication between the DDS02.2-W100-BE42-00 and the other control units is via the SERCOS interface. The SERCOS interface functions using fiber optic cables and offers inputs for evaluating reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs. This DDS model should be operated at an ambient temperature between 0°C and 45°C and a maximum relative humidity of 95%. It should also be installed at a maximum height of 1000m above mean sea level.
