Product Description
The Bosch Rexroth DDS02.2-W100-BE14-01-FW is a digital controller. Each controller is comprised of hardware and software components that include a controller basic unit, plug in modules, and firmware. The basic unit contains slots for mandatory and plug in modules. Two mandatory modules are installed on each controller. These are a software module and a command communication module. Up to three plug in modules can also be installed on each controller. The software module houses the drive firmware and operating parameters. In case of drive failure, the software module can be easily shifted to a replacement drive. This allows rapid commissioning of the replacement drive and therefore minimizes system downtime. The command communication module installed on the DDS02.2-W100-BE14-01-FW is SERCOS. Other options for command modules include single-axis positioning and analog.
Plug in modules that are available from Bosch for DDS controllers include command card, analog signal interface, absolute encoder emulator, ARCNET coupler card, input/output interface, incremental position interface and Gearwheel encoder interface. The rated controller output under recommended ambient conditions is 100 Amps. The current output falls to 80% of the rated value if the ambient temperature rises to 55 degrees Celsius. The current output falls to 65% of the rated value if the site elevation goes up to 5000 meters. Two motor feedback methods are supported by the DDS02.2-W100-BE14-01-FW: resolver feedback and digital servo feedback. Motor feedback allows the controller access to motor parameter values. This information is used by the controller to modulate its output and bring motor parameter values in line with desired values. Large cabinet have to be used for controller mounting as the heat generated during operation is dissipated inside the cabinet.
