Product Description
One of the components of the modular DDS drive system is the drive controller of the DDS family. In conjunction with different AC motors such as those in the MDD, MKD, LAR, and LAF series, the drive controller functions as a rapid-response drive. The drive is ideal for applications such as textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, and handling machines.
The DDS02.2-W050-BE96-01-FW is a drive controller in the DDS series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. The Version 2 model is cooled by heat technology, where the heat generated during the operation of the drive controller is dissipated within its control cabinet. Hence, the use of a large control cabinet and air conditioning is required. Like other drive controllers in the DDS series, Indramat supply units with a regulated DC 24V voltage can be connected to this drive controller. The supply unit is also housed in the control cabinet which has an IP 10 Ingress Protection rating according to EN 60529. This means that solid extrinsic objects larger than 50mm cannot penetrate the control cabinet.
Thanks to a SERCOS plug-in module in the DDS02.2-W050-BE96-01-FW, digital drives with SERCOS-compatible controls can be controlled via a fiber optics cable. Another function of the module is the provision of inputs used to evaluate reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs. The rated current for this DDS drive controller is 50A, and its DC bus voltage rating is 300V with a ±15% allowance. Firmware can be used with it as it fixes its functions, but this must be ordered separately. According to Bosch Rexroth, the ideal ambient temperature for its operation is between 0oC and 45oC.
