Product Description

The DDS drive system is one of Bosch Rexroth’s innovative creations. It has a modular concept which makes it possible to flexibly combine AC servo and main drives to create one compact drive package which uses one supply unit. They are used in several areas, including machine tools, textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, and handling machines. The drive controller is a rapid-response drive when used with motors like the MDD, 1MB, and MBW AC motors.

The cooling technology of the DDS02.2-W050-BE84-01-FW is heat technology. Heat is dissipated within the control cabinet in this option, and it requires the least amount of mounting and installation effort. The plugin module for communication in the drive controller is the SERCOS module, which offers inputs for evaluating reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs. These functions are carried out via fiber optic cables that can be obtained from Bosch Rexroth. The maximum peak current of the drive controller is 50A, and it can be connected to an Indramat supply unit with a regulated DC 24V voltage.

The DDS02.2-W050-BE84-01-FW is made up of four components: a basic unit, plugin module, software module, and firmware (in software and plugin modules). The firmware fixes the function of the drive controller and is purchased as a separate subitem.  With an Ingress Protection rating of IP 20 according to DIN 40 050, this DDS model will not admit solid extrinsic objects with a diameter of 12mm or more. It functions adequately at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C and relative humidity of 95%. It should be set up at a maximum height of 1000m above sea level.
