Product Description

The DDS drive controllers are manufactured by Bosch Rexroth, a company that has been in the business of manufacturing industry solutions for several years. The DDS drive controllers are used in several areas of application, including machine tools, textile, printing and packaging machines, robotics, and handling machines. To achieve their function, they can be used in conjunction with AC motors from Bosch Rexroth like the MDD, MKD, LAR, LAF, LSF, 2AD, ADF, 1MB, and MBW motors. The drive system with the drive controller is modular in design; hence it can be combined with AC servo and main drives to create a compact package that uses a single supply unit.

The DDS02.2-W050-BE23-01-FW is made up of hardware and firmware modules. The firmware is purchased as a separate sub-item, and it fixes the functions of the drive controller. The drive controller’s peak current is 50A, and it can be connected to an Indramat supply unit with a regulated DC 24V voltage. It is also connected to its motor with a motor power cable with shielded connections for motor temperature monitoring and a holding brake. Its safety mechanism is starting lockout, which prevents unintentional startups of the connected motors if there is a fault.

The cooling method of the DDS02.2-W050-BE23-01-FW is heat technology; hence, heat is dissipated within its control cabinet. This cooling method is ideal because it requires little effort for mounting and installation.
