When these units are combined, drive packages that require single supply units are obtained. The DDS drive controllers are used in applications including textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, and handling machines.
The DDS02.2-W050-BE14-02-FW is a digital drive controller model in the DDS drive system by Bosch Rexroth. It is a Version 2 type of the DDS drive controller that features heat technology as its cooling mechanism. Units that use this cooling method eliminate heat within the control cabinet housing them. As a result, this drive controller requires a large control cabinet and air conditioning. However, it is easy to mount and install. It also supports motors that are equipped with digital servo feedback or resolver feedback and has a function ID set as 14 by Indramat.
The current rating of the DDS02.2-W050-BE14-02-FW is 50A. The firmware of the drive controller fixes its functional features but must be ordered as a separate subitem. Its plugin module is a SERCOS interface, and it allows the drive controller to be used to operate SERCOS-compatible controls. The connection of both devices is achieved with a fiber optic cable that allows safe and rapid data exchange. Inputs used for the evaluation of reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs can also be obtained from the SERCOS plugin module. According to EN 60529, the DDS02.2-W050-BE14-02-FW has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 20. This means that it will not admit solid extrinsic objects with a diameter over 12mm.
