Product Description
Bosch Rexroth DDS drive controllers consist of a basic unit, plug-in modules, software modules, and firmware (in software and plug-in modules). The DDS drive system is modular in design, and the versatile DDS drive controller is one of its components. This modular concept makes it possible to flexibly combine AC servo and main drives to create one compact drive package which uses one supply unit. They are used with AC motors also manufactured by Bosch Rexroth to create rapid response drives. They have a wide range of applications, including textile, printing and packaging machines, robotics, and handling machines.
The DDS02.2-W050-BE14-01-FW is a drive controller in the DDS02 series which can be connected to all Indramat supply units with a regulated DC 24 V voltage. The connections on the drive components and interfaces range from 5V to 30V, and they belong to the protective low voltage system. Its command communication is via the SERCOS interface, which functions with fiber optic cables. The SERCOS interface also offers inputs for evaluating reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs.
The functions of the DDS02.2-W050-BE14-01-FW are fixed by firmware which must be purchased as a separate subitem. Purchasing the firmware as a separate subitem makes it possible to reorder the same version when necessary. It is designed to be mounted in a control cabinet, and its cooling method is via heat technology which facilitates the dissipation of heat within the control cabinet. For maximum function, it should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C, relative humidity of 95%, and it should be installed at a maximum of 1000 m above the mean sea level.
