Bosch Rexroth is well-known for manufacturing solutions that can be used across different industries, one of which is the DDS drive controller. Bosch Rexroth DDS drive systems have a modular design which makes it possible to flexibly combine AC servo and main drives to create a compact system that uses one supply unit. The DDS drive controller is combined with Bosch Rexroth AC motors like MDD, MKD, LAR, and MBW to create a rapid response drive. They are designed for use in textile, printing and packaging machines, robotics, and handling machines.

The DDS02.2-W050-BE13-01-FW is a drive controller in the DDS02 series. Its supported feedback is a combination of digital servo feedback and resolver feedback depending on the motor in use. The command communication is via the SERCOS interface, which functions with fiber optic cables. Its electrical circuit belongs to the safely isolated electrical circuits as the connections for the signal voltages are between the range of 5V to 30V. It is also made up of both hardware and firmware. The firmware fixes the function of the drive controller and is ordered as a separate subitem.
