The DDS02.2-W050-BE12-00 is a drive controller. It is developed by Bosch for industrial applications. The controller belongs to the DDS product line. Each DDS controller is comprised of a basic unit, a software module, a command communication module and optional plug in modules. The basic unit contains slots for modules and integrated communication interfaces. Two out of five slots are reserved for the software module and the command communication module. The controller is designed to operate at 24 Volts DC supplied by a regulated power supply. The DDS02.2-W050-BE12-00 features a SERCOS command communication module. This module is designed to enable rapid inter-device communication between SERCOS-enabled control devices. SERCOS uses fiber optical cables as the physical transmission medium. It offers the benefit of redundancy through ring topology which prevents communication outage in the event of a damaged or cut fiber or disabled SERCOS node.
The DDS02.2-W050-BE12-00 is used for control of motor parameters including speed and position. It supports multiple motor feedback modes that are resolver feedback and digital servo feedback. DDS series controllers are compatible with multiple motor product lines including MDD and MKD synchronous motors, LAR and LAF linear inductance motors and ADF and 1MB inductance motors. The DDS02.2-W050-BE12-00 delivers 50 Amps current output under optimal operating conditions. The controller output reduces to values below rated values if the operating conditions are non-ideal.
