Product Description
The Bosch DDS02.2-W050-BE09-01-FW is an industrial servo controller. It supports both resolver based feedback and digital encoder based or digital servo feedback. This allows use of the controller with motors that include an analog resolver or a digital encoder. The DDS family of industrial controllers are compatible with multiple motor product lines from Bosch including MBW inductance motors, ADF inductance motors, LAF linear inductance motors and LAR linear inductance motors. Rated current output of the DDS02.2-W050-BE09-01-FW is 50 Amps. Therefore it can be used to control motors that require up to 50 Amps current input. The rated current output is valid for ambient conditions specified in the product manual. Use of the controller under non-specified ambient conditions is not recommended as it leads to output derating and can also cause controller components to malfunction.
When ordering a DDS controller, you can select from one of five command module: SERCOS, analog, Interbus and single-axis positioning. The DDS02.2-W050-BE09-01-FW comes with a pre-installed SERCOS command module. This module is installed in slot U1 of the basic unit. A software module is installed in slot U5 of the basic unit. Slots U2 to U4 on the DDS02.2-W050-BE09-01-FW are available for optional plug in modules. The range of optional hardware modules includes an absolute encoder module, analog signal interface, ARCnet coupler card, high-resolution positioning interface and many others. The DDS02.2-W050-BE09-01-FW dissipates heat internally i.e. inside the cabinet. Therefore large cabinets need to be used for maintaining an appropriate amount of inter-device separation. Working temperature range for the DDS02.2-W050-BE09-01-FW is 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. Use of the DDS02.2-W050-BE09-01-FW above 55 degrees Celsius is not permitted by Bosch. To minimize the chances of installation errors, the controller should be handled only by trained personnel.
