The Bosch DDS02.2-W050-BE06-01-FW is a DDS series industrial drive controller. As per the type code it belongs to the series 2 and version 2 of the drive controller family. The DDS02.2-W050-BE06-01-FW is designed with heat technology and dissipates heat inside the enclosure where it is installed. The inlet for the cool air is located at the bottom side of the controller. The outlet for the heated air is located at the top side of the controller. To facilitate the smooth flow of air, Bosch recommends provided at least 80 millimeters of free space at the top and bottom sides of the mounted controller, and 40 millimeters in front of the device. The DDS02.2-W050-BE06-01-FW is designed for vertical mounting and measures 355 x 325 x 105 millimeters. The slots for modules and communication interfaces are located on the front panel of the device.
The DDS02.2-W050-BE06-01-FW supports resolver feedback and digital servo feedback. A resolver is a type of rotary electrical sensor used for measuring degrees of rotation. It is considered an analog device. Digital servo feedback uses digital encoders for measuring motor shaft speed and position. Command communication module on the device is SERCOS. The DDS controllers are compatible with a wide range of Bosch motors including those from the MDD, MKD, LAR, and LAF families. Typical applications of the motor-controller combination include textiles, packaging machines and robotics. Rated current output of the DDS02.2-W050-BE06-01-FW is 50 Amps. This is valid for ambient temperatures between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius and setup heights of up to 1000 meters. If the controller is used outside these conditions then its output will derate.
