The DDS02.2-W015-BE31-01 is a DDS series drive controller. It is specially designed for control of Bosch Rexroth industrial motors. The DDS series of controllers is compatible with a wide range of synchronous and asynchronous motors. The speed of synchronous motors is synchronized to the frequency of input current. The speed of asynchronous motors is not synchronized to the frequency of input current. The nominal output of the DDS02.2-W015-BE31-01 is 15 Amps. This output rating is valid if the ambient conditions comply with those specified by Bosch. If the DDS02.2-W015-BE31-01 is used outside specified ambient conditions, then its output can derate and controller components may also fail. Bosch does not permit use of the DDS02.2-W015-BE31-01 for applications that are not specified in the product documentation. The responsibility for any damage caused by improper controller use will lie with the customer.
The manufacturer warranty is also voided by improper use of the controller. To avoid installation errors that could lead to performance issues or equipment damage, Bosch recommends that the controller and associated machinery be deployed by trained technical personnel. The controller firmware is ordered separately and is stored on the software module. Command communication module installed on the DDS02.2-W015-BE31-01 supports SERCOS. The DDS02.2-W015-BE31-01 is designed for heat technology: the heat is dissipated inside the control cabinet. The temperature of the operating environment should be maintained between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius. Output of the DDS02.2-W015-BE31-01 derates between 45 and 55 degrees Celsius. Motor feedback options supported by the controller include digital servo feedback and resolver feedback. Housing of the controller is IP20 rated and is designed for vertical mounting. Weight of the controller is approximately 7.5 kilograms.
