The INDRAMAT DDS drive controller series is a group of ultra-modern drive control units designed as components of the modular DDS drive system. This modular design enhances its adaptability; hence, the drive controllers can be configured for specific functions. A configured DDS driver controller comprises a basic unit ( drive controller), software module, plugin modules, and firmware. These drive controllers are employed as rapid response drives in various AC motors such as the MBW, LAF, LSF, and 2AD. Their applications can be found in textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, and handling machines.
The DDS02.2-W015-BE11-02-FW is a drive controller in the DDS02 series. It is a Version 2 product with a current rating of 15A. Similar to other models in this series, it is compatible with motors that feature a digital servo feedback encoder and a resolver feedback encoder system. Its cooling method is heat technology, and it utilizes the airflow within the control cabinet. Because of this cooling system, the drive controller can be easily installed. The motor also has a SERCOS interface to evaluate reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs. It is connected to control units using a fiber optic cable.
Using the INDRAMAT power cable, the DDS02.2-W015-BE11-02-FW can be connected to AC servomotors. It also supports INDRAMAT supply units and is connected to them with a controlled voltage of 24V. The compact size of the drive controller allows it to be mounted into the control cabinet with this supply unit. To maintain its efficiency, it should be operated in an environment with an ambient temperature of not more than 40oC. According to EN 60529, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 20.
