The Bosch DDS02.2-A200-BE09-01-FW is a modular drive controller. The controller basic unit includes slots for designated and optional modules. Slot U1 is reserved for a command communication module. Slot U5 is reserved for a software module. Slots U2 to U4 are provided for optional modules. The command communication module installed on the DDS02.2-A200-BE09-01-FW is SERCOS. This is a standard for real-time serial communication between control devices. The SERCOS standard uses fiber optic technology for communication between connected devices. The data rates supported by the SERCOS standard are 2 Mbps and 4 Mbps. The network topology used by SERCOS is ring which provides redundancy against fiber cuts. DDS drives that support the SEROCS III communication standard are also available. This updated standard is compatible with Ethernet and supports 100 Mbps full-duplex communication.
Motor feedback options available on the DDS02.2-A200-BE09-01-FW include resolver feedback and digital servo feedback. The controller cools via natural convection. It includes a heat sink for improved heat dissipation. The heat sink is usually mounted outside the control cabinet. This reduces the heat dissipated inside the cabinet to only 20% of the total heat dissipation. The rated output of the DDS02.2-A200-BE09-01-FW is 200 Amps. The controller housing is IP20 rated as per EN 605209 and does not provide protection against moisture ingress.
