The DDS02.2-A200-BA03-01-FW is a Bosch DDS series digital drive controller. The controller is used for motor control in commercial applications. It features a modular architecture that allows adaptation to various requirements. The DDS02.2-A200-BA03-01-FW is designed for cold technology which relies on a heat sink for dissipation of heat produced during operation. The heat sink can be mounted inside or outside the cabinet. When installed with the heat sink outside the cabinet, only 20% of the total heat is dissipation inside the cabinet. This options for heat sink installation allow tremendous flexibility in the choice of cabinet used for controller installation.
DDS controllers with liquid cooling are also available. The DDS02.2-A200-BA03-01-FW relies on natural convection. Therefore fans or blowers are not required for increasing the rate of air flow. DDS controllers support multiple command communication modules including SERCOS, analog and Interbus. The command communications module on the DDS02.2-A200-BA03-01-FW is analog. The motor feedback options supported by the DDS02.2-A200-BA03-01-FW are digital servo feedback and resolver feedback. The controller DC bus voltage is 300 Volts DC. Separate configurations for peak current and continuous current are definable. When controller maximum peak current is 200 Amps, the continuous current is 85 Amps. When the peak current is 160 Amps the maximum continuous current is 105 Amps. The current consumption of the controller basic unit is as follows: 150 milliamps at +15 Volts DC, 150 milliamps at -15 Volts DC and 500 milliamps at 24 Volts DC.
