Product Description
Bosch Rexroth developed the DDS drive system with a modular configuration that gives it a high degree of flexibility. This allows AC servo and main drives to be combined to create compact drive packages requiring just one supply unit. Digital drives controllers in this DDS system can be used as rapid-response drives when combined with some series of AC servo motors.
The DDS02.2-A100-BE42-03-FW is a DDS digital drive controller designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is a Line 2 model of the drive controllers in the DDS series, equipped with a SERCOS interface as its plugin module. Hence, digital drives with SERCOS-compatible controls can be operated with the drive controller via a fiber optic cable. The plug-in module also gives inputs for evaluating sensor inputs, travel range limit switches, and reference switches. The rated current for this drive controller is 100A, and it works with a designated DC bus voltage of 300V with a tolerance of +/- 15%.
All supply units with a DC voltage of 24V can be connected to the DDS02.2-A100-BE42-03-FW. These two components can be mounted into a control cabinet of IP 10 protection rating according to DIN 40 050. The control cabinet is small and is ideal for the cold technology cooling method of the drive controller. In this method, the cooling airflow is outside the control cabinet, and most of the heat is dissipated there. The motors that can be operated with this DDS model can have either digital servo feedback or resolver feedback as their feedback option. The permissible ambient temperature for the device’s operation ranges between 0oC and 45oC, and the maximum relative humidity is 95%.
