Product Description
The DDS02.2-A100-BE12-01 is a DDS series drive controller from Bosch Rexroth. It is compatible with MDD synchronous motors, MKD synchronous motors, LAR inductance linear motors, LAF inductance linear motors, 1MB inductance motors and several other motors. Drive systems comprised of DDS controllers and compatible motors are well suited to use in applications involving handling machines, robotics and textiles. The nominal current output of the DDS02.2-A100-BE12-01 is 100 Amps. This rating is valid for ambient conditions that are specified by Bosch. The output derates if ambient conditions do not comply with those that are specified by Bosch. Moreover controller operation under non-specified ambient conditions can lead to device failure and should be avoided. The DDS02.2-A100-BE12-01 operates at 24 Volts DC. Supplies that deliver regulated DC output can be used with the controller.
Integrated controller features include support for resolver feedback, digital servo feedback and SERCOS command communication. The DDS02.2-A100-BE12-01 is designed with cold technology: the unit dissipates a large portion – approximately 80% - of heat outside the control cabinet. This is accomplished by mounting the controller so that the heat sink is outside the cabinet. Approximately 20% of heat is dissipated inside the cabinet. As a consequence, the DDS02.2-A100-BE12-01 can be mounted inside small cabinets. DDS controllers with heat technology – heat dissipation inside cabinet - and liquid cooling are also available. Functions supported by the DDS02.2-A100-BE12-01 are determined by the installed firmware. Different functions are supported by different firmware. For this reason the controller firmware is ordered separately from the hardware. The software module contains both the drive parameters and the firmware. If the working unit fails, the software module can be moved to a replacement unit.
