The DDS02.1-W200-DA02-00 is a digital motor controller. The controller is designed for industrial applications that include robotics, grinding machines, handling systems, CNC machine tool axes and electronic transmissions for gear milling machines. The firmware for the unit has to be ordered separately from the hardware. The firmware is stored on the software module. The operating parameters are also stored on the software module. The software module installs in slot U5 on the basic unit of the controller. The command communication module on the DDS02.1-W200-DA02-00 is analog. This module installs in slot U1 on the basic unit of the controller. DDS series drive controllers with ANALOG interface allow digital intelligent AC servo drives to be operated by conventional NC controls with a ±10V analog interface. Other types of command communication modules that are supported by DDS controllers include SERCOS, single-axis positioning and Interbus.
The DDS02.1-W200-DA02-00 is rated for 200 Amps output and supports digital servo feedback. The DDS02.1-W200-DA02-00 dissipates the heat inside the cabinet in which it is installed. This means large cabinets are required to ensure the proper inter-device separation. If large cabinets are not available then air conditioning may be required to keep temperature within prescribed limits. The DDS02.1-W200-DA02-00 can also malfunction if it is used outside recommended ambient conditions. Only accessories and spare parts that are approved by Bosch should be used with the controller.
