Product Description
The DDS drive controller series is a modular, state-of-the-art product by Bosch Rexroth. The company programs these devices to perform different functions, depending on the specific requirement. A configured drive controller consists of a basic unit- the functional unit of adaptability- software modules, plugin components, and the firmware that controls the drive controller's operation. When combined with the MKD, LAR AC, and MDD motors, the resulting drive system becomes a rapid response unit. These drives can be used in robotics and handling machines, printing and packaging machines, textile machinery, and machine tools.
The DDS02.1-W150-DS50-01-FW is a Version 1 type configured drive controller. This device utilizes heat technology as a cooling method whereby the cooling airflow is within the control cabinet. It has a rated current of 150 A and is equipped with Digital servo feedback. Also, its SERCOS interface enables the operation of SERCOS interface compatible controls via a fiber optic wire. Also, this interface allows for the evaluation of sensor inputs, reference switches, and travel range limit switches.
While the firmware is supported, it must be purchased as an independent sub-item. The firmware is vital to a drive controller function and is updated regularly to improve its performance. For storage or transportation, the drive controller must be kept in a temperature range of - 30° C to +80° C. However, operating efficiently requires an ambient temperature of 55° C or less. According to DIN 40 050, It has a protection degree of IP 20. Therefore, it cannot be penetrated by external objects with more than 12 mm diameter. However, the drive controller is vulnerable to damage by water penetration.
