The DDS02.1-W150-DS03-01 is a 150 Amps rated digital drive controller. It is designed by Bosch for motor control applications. The controller and compatible motors are used for applications such as textiles, printing machines and robotics. The DDS02.1-W150-DS03-01 cools through natural convection. The heat generated during operation is dissipated inside the cabinet. Therefore suitable separation should be provided between heat-generating devices inside the same cabinet. This may require the use of large cabinets. Air conditioning may also be required for maintenance of ambient temperature. The DDS02.1-W150-DS03-01 operates without output derating between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius. The controller operates with output derating between 45 and 55 degrees Celsius. The DDS02.1-W150-DS03-01 supports digital servo feedback. Command communication module installed on the DDS02.1-W150-DS03-01 is SERCOS. The command module installs in slot U1 on the basic unit.
Slot U5 on the basic unit is reserved for the software module. The functional features of the drive controllers are dependent on the installed firmware. The firmware has to be ordered as a separate item. The firmware is continuously being updated to function more accurately without, however, changing the functions. Slots U2 to U4 on the controller basic unit are available for optional plug in modules. A rating plate is attached to the basic unit. Rated plates for the firmware and for the hardware configuration are also attached.
