Product Description

The DDS drive controllers are rapid response drives when used with the MDD and MKD synchronous motors or the LAR and LAF inductance linear motors. They have a modular design that makes combining them with AC servo and main drives easy to create a compact drive package. The package uses only one supply unit.  The drives can be used in different areas such as machine tools, textile, printing and packaging industries, robotics, and handling industries.

The DDS02.1-W150-DS01-01 is composed of hardware and firmware. The software module contains both the firmware and the drive parameters. The firmware fixes the functional features of the drive controller and is ordered as a separate subitem. The drive controller’s plugin module is the SERCOS interface which uses a fiber optic cable. It makes it possible to operate the digital drive with SERCOS interface compatible controls. This plugin also offers inputs for evaluating reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs. It should be connected to supply units manufactured by Rexroth with regulated DC 24 V voltage.

At a maximum ambient temperature of 45° C and a maximum relative humidity of 95 %, the DDS02.1-W150-DS01-01 will function optimally. Deviation from the given ambient conditions causes the drive controller to malfunction. Its cooling method is via heat technology; it dissipates heat within the control cabinet. It is designed to be mounted into a closed housing with a protection rating of IP 10 according to DIN 40 050. This protection rating means that it is protected against penetration by solid external objects whose diameter is greater than 50 mm; however, it is not protected against penetration by water.
