Product Description
The DDS drive controllers are components of the DDS drive system with a modular build that allows them to be configured to suit users’ needs. This modular design also allows them to be used to create one compact drive package where only one supply unit is required. When combined with the MDD and MKD synchronous motors and the LAR and LAF linear induction motors, they form rapid-response drives. The applications of these drives include machine tools, textile creation, robotics, and printing and packaging machinery.
The DDS02.1-W150-DL40-01-FW is one of Bosch Rexroth’s drive controllers in the DDS drive system. It has a current rating of 150A and requires a designated DC bus voltage of 300V with a tolerance of ±15%. Its heat dissipation mechanism is the heat technology method. In this method, the cooling of the motor is by airflow within the control cabinet. As a result, it demands the use of a large control cabinet and air conditioning. The main advantage of this cooling method is that it requires the least amount of mounting and installation effort.
With its single-axis positioning plugin module, the DDS02.1-W150-DL40-01-FW can be expanded to create a stand-alone single-axis positioning unit. Its control can be programmed with a maximum of 3,000 program blocks where each program block describes one motion sequence or the states of inputs that will be monitored and outputs to be set. The firmware of this drive controller sets its functional features and can be ordered separately, making it possible for the same firmware version to be reordered when required. Its Ingress Protection rating according to EN 60529 is IP 20.
