Product Description
The Bosch Rexroth DDS02.1-W100-DS04-02 is a digital AC servo drive with SERCOS interface. It is a microprocessor-controlled three-phase brushless device with excellent servo control characteristics. The DDS family of drives is suited to applications such as CNC machine tools axes, grinding machines, electronics transmission for gear milling machines, robots and textile machines. The drive control, monitoring and diagnostic functions on the DDS02.1-W100-DS04-02 are digital and are performed by a signal processor. DDS drives are supplied with either a SERCOS, analog or single-axis interface. The SERCOS interface on the DDS02.1-W100-DS04-02 enables real-time serial communication between devices over a fiber-optic cables in ring configuration. The advantages of SERCOS interfaces include display/entry of internal drive data and diagnoses via the SERCOS terminals of compatible NC controls, exploitation of high-speed resolution and normalization of speed, position and load data.
The rated output of the DDS02.1-W100-DS04-02 is 100 Amps. The drive is designed for heat technology i.e. air from inside the cabinet is used for cooling. The DDS02.1-W100-DS04-02 also supports digital servo feedback. Function ID of the drive is 04 and the function ID version is 02. Firmware for the DDS02.1-W100-DS04-02 has to be ordered as a separate subposition. The modular architecture of DDS drives allows the drive to be adapted to a wide range of applications. The hardware of the drive is based on a basic unit with slots for fixed and optional modules. The fixed modules are a software module and a command communication module. Three slots on the basic unit of the DDS02.1-W100-DS04-02 are available for optional modules that can be installed as per customer requirements. Bosch recommends installation and operations of the drive by trained and qualified personnel.
