Featured with a SERCOS command and communication interface and 100 A current rating the DDS02.1-W100-DS03-02-FW is a digital AC servo drive. This model is designed to work in harsh industrial environments. You can easily incorporate this servo controller in your existing, DDS based motion control system. The DDS02.1-W100-DS03-02-FW comes with mandatory plug-in modules only. The availability of two empty slots; U3 and U4 bring plenty of choices for the user. The DDS02.1-W100-DS03-02-FW offers almost unlimited customization being a servo controller from the Bosch Rexroth Indramat DDS series. To configure this drive controller for additional functions, what all you need is it loading with additional plug-in modules.
This digital drive controller is based on DIAX02 which comes with five plug-in module slots. The two module slots U1 & U5 are dedicated to communication module and software module respectively. The remaining three slots can be used for the deployment of user-desired add-on modules. Each add-on module is designed for a specific function. In this way, you can have your drive controller reconfigured on as and when required basis. This modular construction of the DIAX02 based drive controllers is considered very useful for applications with dynamic hardware configurations.
The existing configuration of this device is known as DS03-02-FW. In this configuration, the basic control unit comes with a DEF01.1 plug-in module in addition to the communication module (DSS01.3-FW) and software module (DSM02.1-FW). The DEF01.1 is an incremental position interface module. Through this module evaluation of an external scale can be done as it transmits square wave signals. The DDS02.1-W100-DS03-02-FW offers various safety features as well. In case of a software crash or power failure, the unit halts the entire operation immediately.
