Product Description
The Bosch Rexroth DDS02.1-W100-DL04-00 is an advanced DDS series drive. The modular concept of DDS drives allows multiple drives to be powered from a single supply unit. DDS drives can only be connected to a power supply that delivers regulated 24 Volts DC output. Applications that are suited to DDS drives include handling machines, robotics, packaging machines and printing machines. A complete DDS drive is comprised of a basic unit, a software module, firmware and plug in modules. The basic module has five slots out of which three can be used for plug in modules, one slot is reserved for the software module and one slot is reserved for a communication module. The software module installs in slot U5 and contains the firmware and operating parameters that are configured by an operator.
The communication module installs in slot U1. The DDS02.1-W100-DL04-00 features a single-axis positioning communication module. The rated current output of the DDS02.1-W100-DL04-00 is 100 Amps. The drive supports digital servo feedback for reliable closed-loop control. The cooling method for which the DDS02.1-W100-DL04-00 is designed is natural convection. Moreover the DDS02.1-W100-DL04-00 only uses air that is inside the cabinet for cooling and requires 0 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature for optimal performance. This means that large control cabinets and/or air conditioning may be required for the maintenance of ambient temperature. The firmware for the DDS02.1-W100-DL04-00 controls the features that the drive supports. Furthermore, the firmware is updated by Bosch: updated versions can be installed on a DDS drive. A wide range of plug in modules can be installed on the DDS02.1-W100-DL04-00 including communication modules, I/O modules and encoder modules. The installation of plug in modules has to be performed by trained personnel.
