The DDS series of drive controllers is a best-in-class controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. The controller comes with a control cab, cooling style, and a rated current of 100A. Since the DDS02.1-W100-DA01-01-FW drive controller is both modular and digital, it can be stacked with several gadgets using a single or multi-power supplier. Additionally, the controller comes with a communications module of an analog interface and 01 functions I.D.
The DDS02.1-W100-DA01-01-FW drive controller system comes with a software that is inserted into the U1 slot. The module plays a vital role in the functioning of the system as it stores the parameters of the system. This tunes the DDS02 drive to a motor and the mechanics of the unit. This lets you easily replace the motor without having to retune the unit, by just plugging in the module. It also features a communication module that is plugged into the U1 slot. Different modules can be used like the single axis positional controller or SERCOS Interface, INTERBUS-S interface, and ANALOG interface.
It is important to note that Rexroth Indramat’s servo drives are available in different amp rated currents, such as 200, 150, 100, 50, 30, 25 or 15. The DDS02.1-W100-DA01-01-FW drive controller differs from other DDS03.1 and DDS03.2 in option cards available. For instance, this drive controller comes with three option card slots that are U4, U3, and U2, where as the DDS3 comes with only one option card slot that is U2. Additionally, the DDS servo motors can be optimized to operate drives using resolver feedback or Indramat digital servo feedback. Connectivity is an essential aspect of machines, and for this reason, there are multiple fieldbus options. Some of the common fieldbus include SynqNet, Profinet, Ethernet /IP and EtherCAT.
