The DDS02.1-W050-DS54-00-FW model is one of the leading motion control components designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. The model provides high functional stability under extreme operating conditions. The DDS02.1 drive controller takes input power through the main voltage line and a regulated 24 VDC power supply is used to develop a connection between the main power supply and the controller. The controller is recommended to be mounted in a dry environment due to its IP20 protection category. The temperature range prescribed for this controller is 0 to +45 degree Celsius and the maximum allowable temperature range for this controller is +55 degree Celsius, with a 20% reduction in efficiency. The DDS02.1 drive controller is equipped with a DSS01.3 SERCOS interface module that uses optical fiber cable for efficient and quick transmission of data between controller and motor. The DSS01.3 module is installed in the U1 slot of the basic unit. U2 and U3 slots of the drive controller are input/output interfaces and each module contains 15 inputs and 16 outputs. These inputs/outputs assist in exchanging the binary signals between the drive and the PLC.
The model DDS02.1-W050-DS54-00-FW must be installed in the control cabinet that fulfills the minimum protection requirements. The controller uses cold technology for maintaining the ambient temperature of the controller. The device uses a continuous current of 50 A to perform continuous operations. The controller is also capable to control the relative indirect position of the shaft through its digital servo feedback. U4 slot of the controller is empty and the firmware module (DSM02.1-FW) is installed in the U5 slot of the drive controller.
