The DDS02.1-W050-DS01-02-FW/S100 is a digital AC drive. It is part of the DDS product line which is designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. The function ID of the drive is 01. The function ID version is 02. The firmware for the DDS02.1-W050-DS01-02-FW/S100 has to be ordered separately from the hardware. The reason is that different firmware versions are available and the firmware that is ordered should be the one that satisfies the customer requirements. The DDS02.1-W050-DS01-02-FW/S100 is rated for 50 Amps current output. The motor feedback option supported on the DDS02.1-W050-DS01-02-FW/S100 is digital servo feedback. Three different types of command communication modules can be installed on DDS drives. These include analog, SERCOS and single-axis positioning module. The DDS02.1-W050-DS01-02-FW/S100 features a SERCOS module. The drive cools by means of convection cooling and requires proper ventilation.
The IP20 rated DDS02.1-W050-DS01-02-FW/S100 is designed for cabinet mounting. The permissible ambient temperature range is 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. The maintenance of this ambient temperature range requires good ventilation. This may be achieved by using large cabinets, separating the drive from other heat-generating devices and through air conditioning. The drive output derates between 45 and 55 degrees Celsius. Operation of the DDS02.1-W050-DS01-02-FW/S100 above 55 degrees Celsius is not permitted. The drive can be operated with derated data at elevations that lie between 1000 and 5000 meters. Operation of the drive is not permitted at elevations that exceed 5000 meters. If both the temperature and elevation exceed specified limits at the same time then the respective load factors have to be multiplied. Shipping weight of the drive is approximately 7.5 kilograms. Only trained and qualified personnel should operate the AC drive.
