Product Description
DDS02.1-W050-DA0-00 is a DDS series drive controller from Bosch Rexroth. It is designed for AC motor control in industrial applications. Compatible motor series include LAF inductance linear motors, LAR inductance linear motors, MKD synchronous motors and MDD synchronous motors. The controller works when connected to power supplies that deliver regulated 24 Volts DC output. Rated current output of the unit is 50 Amps. DDS controllers have a modular design that allows operators to match controller function to application requirements. Each DDS unit has a basic unit with three slots for plug in modules. Operators can order plug in modules for added functionality to supplement the basic controller functionality. The basic unit has additional slots for a software module and for a communication module. Two cables connect the controller to the motor: a power cable and a feedback cable. The DDS02.1-W050-DA0-00 controller supports digital servo feedback. This feature allows it to receive feedback from the connected motor. The controller continuously compares motor feedback to programmed motor parameter values. Any difference in the values leads to an adjustment of the controller output to bring motor parameter values (speed, torque) in line with programmed values. The
DDS02.1-W050-DA0-00 is equipped with an analog communication interface. The software module on the controller contains both the firmware and drive parameters. If a controller fails, the software module can be moved to the replacement unit. This helps to reduce downtime and ensures high productivity. The firmware controls drive functional features. It has to be ordered as a separate item. Operators can select the firmware that matches their requirements. Bosch releases new firmware that adds functionality and features and removes bugs. Uploading new firmware to the controller enables new features simply through a firmware upgrade.
