The DDS02.1-W015-DS51-02-FW is an air cooled DDS drive. It cools through natural convection and requires 0 to 45 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. The drive can be operated at temperatures of up to 55 degrees Celsius. However the output of the drive derates between 45 and 55 degrees Celsius. Similarly the output of the DDS02.1-W015-DS51-02-FW drive derates at altitudes that exceed 1000 meters. With derating the drive can be operated at altitudes that reach 5000 meters. The output derating is 20% at 55 degrees Celsius and 35% at 5000 meters altitude. When both the temperature and altitude exceed recommended values then both load factors have to be multiplied. When the DDS02.1-W015-DS51-02-FW drive is operated under ambient conditions recommended by Bosch, the rated output current is 15 Amps. The temperature range for drive transport and storage is -30 to 85 degrees Celsius.
The drive supports digital servo feedback. DDS drives can be ordered with analog and SERCOS communication module. The DDS02.1-W015-DS51-02-FW features the SERCOS module. The IP20 rated drive is designed for vertical mounting. The DDS02.1-W015-DS51-02-FW has to be mounted inside a cabinet. For proper ventilation Bosch recommends minimum spacing of 80 millimeters on the top and bottom sides of the controller. The DDS02.1-W015-DS51-02-FW requires regulated 24 Volts DC input. The DC bus on drive has a nominal voltage rating of 300 Volts DC. The amount of heat dissipated by an operating DDS02.1-W015-DS51-02-FW drive is approximately 7.5 Watts. Proper handling and installation is a prerequisite for safe drive operation. Therefore only properly trained and qualified technical personnel should assemble and install the drive. Safety instructions listed in the product documentation should be implemented for prevention of injury and equipment damage.
