Product Description
Bosch Rexroth supplies a broad spectrum of automation systems, and the DDS drive controller is yet another high-performance product from the company.
The modular concept of DDS units ensures that they can be flexibly combined with AC mains and servo drives to achieve a compact drive system. Typically, when used with AC motors from the MKD, MDD, and LAR series, a DDS drive controller functions as a quick-response drive. The areas of application of the DDS02.1-W015-DS23-03 include robotics, machine tools, handling machines, textile, packaging machinery, etc. It can be used for various functions depending on the preferred plugin module. The software module of the DDS02.1-W015-DS23-03 has a dedicated slot at U5, and its command communication module also has a slot at U1. The three (3) remaining slots (U2, U3, and U4) are for auxiliary plugin modules.
The power supply to this unit can be supplied by all 24-V regulated supply units from Indramat, except the TVM 1.2 series, because their 24 V supply is unregulated. KDV 1.3, TVM 2.4, and TVM 2.1 supply units are some of the compatible power supplies for DDS digital drive controllers. The rated current of the drive controller is 15 A. For efficient communications, the DDS02.1-W015-DS23-03 leverages a SERCOS interface and DSF motor feedback. The cooling method of this drive controller is heat technology, and it discharges heat within its housing. As much as possible, avoid running high-frequency radio equipment near the DDS02.1-W015-DS23-03 or its supply leads. Also, this unit must be completely de-energized before maintenance operations are executed to prevent shocks from loose voltages. Prior to handling, all safety regulations and general construction documentation must be adhered to.
