The Rexroth CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-NN-NN-NW is an IndraDrive ADVANCED Single-axis drive control section module. This control section module uses the SERCOS III master communication protocol for high-speed serial communication by establishing itself as a master for cross-communication between connected devices. The CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-NN-NN-NW also supports a Multi-encoder interface allowing to support of different types of drive encoders such as Single-turn absolute encoders or Multi-turn absolute encoders.

To enhance network adaptability and communication the Rexroth CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-NN-NN-NW also supports Multi-Ethernet protocol using the Multi-Ethernet module. This allows the control section unit to be integrated into different Ethernet field bus systems such as EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, or PROFINET IO. To establish network communication it is recommended to use CAT5e shielded twisted pair cable. This module has 11 inputs of which 2 are connected for probing. The CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-NN-NN-NW control section also has 5 more Digital channels that can be configured as either inputs or outputs. The current control cycle needed for the drive to adjust its control parameters is around 62.5 µs. The amount of time it takes for this unit to regulate speed based on the feedback provided is 125 µs. To communicate with the drive and other connected modules the CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-NN-NN-NW control section takes approximately 250 µs.

The CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-NN-NN-NW is also equipped with an STO (Safe Torque Off) safety feature that prevents torque from acting on the motor by blocking electrical signals from the power devices. As an emergency stop function, STO can instantly limit torque-generating energy and allow the motor to come to a complete stop utilizing natural inertia and friction from the load. The module measures 241 mm x 103 mm x 49.5 mm making it super compact. It also features diagnostic LEDs that help troubleshoot operation errors.
