CSH02.1B-ET-EC-NN-SB-NN-NN-FW is an advanced control unit for Bosch IndraDrive motor controllers. It has a modular architecture: the base unit houses the processor, memory and other control circuits, as well as four slots for optional modules. The control unit features two factory-installed modules: a safety module and a multi-encoder interface module. The safety module supports safe motion bus. The safety module features a bicolor LED for safety technology status indication and another bicolor LED for connection status. The encoder interface is designed for use with encoder systems that support 5 and 12 Volt supply voltages. It works with the MSM motor encoder, the MSK motor encoder, the sin-cos motor encoder 1Vpp; HIPERFACE®, the sin-cos encoder 1Vpp; EnDat 2.1; (EnDat 2.2 in preparation), the sin-cos motor encoder 1Vpp; with reference track, the 5V-TTL square-wave motor encoder with reference track, SSI, the combined motor encoder for SSI, the hall sensor box SHL02.1 and the digital Hall sensor in conjunction with Hall sensor adapter box.
The CSH02.1B-ET-EC-NN-SB-NN-NN-FW is a device that plugs into a power section. The function of the power section is to provide DC power for the control unit and for the optional hardware modules. Power consumption of the control unit base unit is 17 Watts. The multi-encoder interface draws 1.1 Watts. The safety module installed on the unit draws 2.5 Watts. The Multi-Ethernet master communication module on the CSH02.1B-ET-EC-NN-SB-NN-NN-FW draws 2.7 Watts. A standard control panel allows convenient control unit configuration. Firmware for the control unit must be ordered as a separate subposition. Bosch has designed the unit for convection cooling. Proper ventilation is a pre-requisite for safe control unit operation. Failure to provide means for adequate heat dissipation can lead to equipment malfunction or failure.
