The CSH01.3C-S3-ENS-EN2-CCD-S2-S-NN-FW is an advanced control section. It is part of the CSH series from Bosch Rexroth. Control sections are usually supplied as part of a complete IndraDrive controller. Other components of the controllers include a power section and a control panel. The function of the power section is to supply electrical power for the control section basic unit and installed modules. Output voltage of the power section is 24 Volts DC. The power consumption the basic unit of the CSH01.3C-S3-ENS-EN2-CCD-S2-S-NN-FW is 8.5 Watts. The encoder InraDyn module installed in slot 1 of the control section draws 6 Watts. The encoder EnDat 2.1 module installed in slot 2 of the control section draws 6 Watts. The cross communication module installed in slot 3 of the control section draws 1 Watt. A standard control panel, if connected to the unit, draws 1 Watt.

The SERCOS III master communication module draws 1 Watt. The slot for a safety module on the CSH01.3C-S3-ENS-EN2-CCD-S2-S-NN-FW features a module that supports safe motion. The firmware for the unit is ordered separately. The control section can also be ordered as a separate unit. When supplied separately, it has to be mounted onto the power section. This activity must only be performed by trained personnel. Furthermore, to prevent equipment damage, a control section should not be mounted or dismounted more than 20 times. Electrostatic charges can damage the control section components and interfere with its operation. Therefore any personnel working on the CSH01.3C-S3-ENS-EN2-CCD-S2-S-NN-FW should discharge any exposed conductive parts that may come into contact with the unit. Examples of such conductive parts include the human body and tools/parts used for control section maintenance.
