CSH01.3C-ET-EN2-MA1-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW is a modular control section. It is equipped with an analog I/O extension module. This module is a type of extension module that provides additional analog input/output capabilities to a system. The module has two analog inputs and two analog outputs, which can be used to receive door status signals, authorize door releases, send messages, and perform other functions.

All analog channels on the module support 12-bit resolution. Voltage range for input and output channels is ±10 Volts. The analog I/O extension module is designed to work with other Bosch products and can be used to expand the capabilities of a system or device. The CSH01.3C-ET-EN2-MA1-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW is also equipped with a cross communication module (CCD) which corresponds to standard IEEE 802.3 and is used as a "master" for cross communication.

The CCD module support long cables (100 meters at maximum) to connect the drive system to the higher-level control unit. Minimum bending radius specifications are 48.75 millimeters with flexible installation and 32.50 millimeters with permanent installation. The CCD module supports short cables to connect devices arranged side by side in the control cabinet. The minimum bending radius recommendation for short cables is 120.50 millimeters. The encoder module on the CSH01.3C-ET-EN2-MA1-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW features an EnDat 2.1 interface. EnDat 2.1 is a digital, bidirectional interface for encoders that is capable of transmitting position values from incremental and absolute encoders. It is a leading-edge technology used in the machine tool, electronics, and automation industries. EnDat 2.1 allows the transfer of position values both digitally and via analog through incremental signals. Master communication module installed on the CSH01.3C-ET-EN2-MA1-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW supports MultiEthernet. Firmware for the unit must be ordered as a separate subposition.
