Innovation is a key driving factor for Bosch Rexroth as a brand, as seen in the quality of its drive and motion control units. Its CSH control sections are compact components of the drive controllers in its Rexroth IndraDrive drive system.

The CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-MEM-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW is one of Bosch Rexroth’s configurable CSH control sections. It is built to accommodate different encoder types with a supply voltage rating of 12V via its standard encoder evaluation interface. Some of these encoders are the MSK motor encoder, the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track. The control section is best suited for use in residential areas because it belongs to category C3, according to IEC 61800‑3. When used in a low-voltage mains that supplies residential areas, high-frequency interference may occur. This may be resolved by using additional measures of radio interference suppression. Ideally, the control section should be used in industrial areas only.

Thanks to the use of fiber optic cables with the sercos interface of the CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-MEM-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW, data transfer is rapid and secure. The communication module also guarantees maximum dynamics and precision. Absolute value and incremental encoder signals are galvanically isolated from the circuit board and emulated by the encoder emulation interface of the control section. Its Digital I/O Extension option provides 12 digital 24V inputs and eight digital 24V outputs. Various operations can be performed using the standard control panel of the CSH control section. These include initiating the basic load defaults procedure, setting the transmission power and field bus transmission rate of the sercos module, and accessing the error memory.
