Every Bosch IndraDive controller consists of a power section and a control section. The CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-MEM-MA1-L1-S-NN-FW is a digital control section. Operators can identify it through the attached type plate that lists the type, part number, serial number, bar code, hardware index and production week. A separate firmware type plate lists the bar code, type, factory identifier, production week and serial number. A type plate is also attached to the power section. The function of the power section is to supply DC power to the control section and to modules installed on the control section. The CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-MEM-MA1-L1-S-NN-FW is equipped with an encoder emulation module that allows emulation of absolute value and incremental encoder signals for further evaluation by a control section. The signals are galvanically isolated from the circuit board. An external power supply is not required.
This module has a D-sub interface with a 15-pin connector. Bosch recommends stranded copper wire with 0.25 to 0.5 mm2 cross section. The CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-MEM-MA1-L1-S-NN-FW is also equipped with an encoder IndraDyn/Hiperface module and an analog I/O extension module. The safety module installed on the unit supports starting lockout, which helps to prevent unwanted starts during equipment installation. The CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-MEM-MA1-L1-S-NN-FW control section supports SERCOS, an open digital communication protocol used for motion control and automation systems. SERCOS provides a high level of performance by ensuring real-time communication between master and slave devices. It supports fast data exchange rates, high update rates, and short cycle times, which is essential for precision motion control applications. It supports plug-and-play installation, automatic device recognition, and network topology configurations. SERCOS can support up to 254 nodes on a single network, which makes it suitable for complex and large-scale automation systems.
