The Bosch Rexroth CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-EN1-NNN-NN-S-NN-FW is a modular control section. It mounts on a compatible power section. The combination of these two components is an IndraDrive controller that is used for motor control in industrial applications. The CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-EN1-NNN-NN-S-NN-FW is a control section that works with standard control panels. This type of control panel do not support hot plug. Therefore, they must not be connected or disconnected after the controller is switched on. Bosch does provide another type of control panel – the comfort control panel – that does support hot plug. A major part of the controller functions are determined by the firmware installed on the control section. Bosch provides multiple firmware versions that are optimized for different applications. In addition to firmware, operators can order and install optional hardware to equip the controller with desired functionality.

The CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-EN1-NNN-NN-S-NN-FW is equipped with two encoder modules: encoder HSF/RSF and encoder IndraDyn/Hiperface. One slot on the control section is available for an optional module that operators may want to install. The slot designated for a safety module is also available and can accommodate one of five different safety modules. The CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-EN1-NNN-NN-S-NN-FW is equipped with a SERCOS communication interface. SERCOS provides a high-speed communication link between devices such as motion controllers, drives, and sensors. The communication speed is typically up to 16 Mbps. SERCOS is a vendor-independent communication protocol that is widely adopted in the automation industry. It can be easily integrated with other communication interfaces such as Ethernet, Profibus, and CAN, and it supports a wide range of devices from different manufacturers.
