The Bosch CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW is a digital control unit. It is a component of IndraDrive drive controllers. Each drive component is marked by a type designation. A type plate is attached to the power section and the control unit. A firmware type plate is also attached to the control unit. The information on the type plate allows component identification. To ensure that the correct equipment is received, operators should check the type plates at the time of delivery. The CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW is an advanced control unit that is suited to single-axis applications. Bosch also manufactures other types of control units that are either non-configurable or are designed for double-axis applications. The CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW works with a standard control panel. Operators should connect the control panel and control unit before the latter is powered on, otherwise the control unit is not recognized.

This is a high-speed interface that supports communication at 100 Mbps. The SERCOS III standard is fully compatible with the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet standard. The CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW features three plug in module including a safety module, an encoder module and a digital I/O module. The encoder module supports an EnDat 2.1 interface. The I/O module is a digital extension I/O module that enhances the number of digital I/O on the control unit. The safety module supports safety technology I/O. Slot2 on the control unit is vacant and can accommodate another plug in module if required. Firmware for the control unit is ordered as a separate subposition.
