This CNC control device can also be installed without an additional PLC for various applications. However, you can control this device from your already existing PLC control or computer-based control system also. As far as its programming is concerned, you can always communicate this position control with your personal computer over a serial link. Moreover, the front panel user-interface can also be used for programming in the field. This model is capable of handling user-defined programs with as many as 3000 instructions, 224 marker flags, and 400 variables. 

The CLM01.4-LAP-01VRS-MS is fully compatible with a broad range of rotary and linear encoders as well as synchronous absolute encoders. In its default configuring and without any accessory or encoder attached, the controller requires around 450 mA of current to operate. The CLM comes equipped with an internal module card where the user-programmed is stored in buffered RAM. a battery back-up arrangement is also incorporated in this controller to keep the user program and other vital data safe during power outages. During operation, the internal battery of the CLM unit remains in charging mode continuously and a full charged battery can provide back-up for 0.5 years approximately.
