The card comes with two serial communication ports. Port A supports ASCII Host Protocol while Port B is configured according to one’s own needs, which can include Host Protocol or Teach Pendant, which is a highly utilitarian user interface designed by Indramat for CLC.

Part of the CLC-D02.1A-FW design is a seven segment single digit LED display. This feature serves as the main communicator of the card’s current status, including errors. To make troubleshooting easier for engineers, Indramat has compiled a comprehensive error library with clear guidelines if an error should occur.
