Drive controllers are used to control electrical motors and monitor their operation. They are composed of a power section and a control section which is plugged into the power section. These control sections have a compact build; hence, they can easily be mounted and dismounted. The double-axis CDB control sections are used in food and packaging machines, printing and paper processing machines, handling and mounting systems, and machine tools.
The CDB01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-EN2-EN2-S2-S-NN-FW is a model of the CDB series of double-axis control sections designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is equipped with a SERCOS communication module that achieves signal transfer using fiber optics cables. This requires minimal wiring and allows the rapid and secure exchange of real-time information. It should be noted that the fiber optics cable needs to be ordered separately. There is a Safe Motion module in this control section and it allows a wide range of application-related safety functions. These include safe maximum speed, safe direction, safe parking axis, and safe door locking.
There are four encoder evaluation interfaces on the CDB01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-EN2-EN2-S2-S-NN-FW. They support encoders with a 5V supply voltage like the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1 and Sense lines, the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, and the sin-cos encoder 1 Vpp with reference track. This configurable control section’s control panel is the standard type, and it features a single-line display for showing unresolved faults and the device’s overall operating state. As a product of category C3 according to IEC 61800‑3, it is most suitable for use in industrial areas. When used in a public low-voltage mains supplying residential areas, adequate measures of radio interference suppression must be adopted.
