The drive controllers in the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system are designed to control electric motors and monitor their operations. They are composed of two essential sections, the power section and the control section, with each part optionally available for individual purchase. The control sections are available in different series with various features and functions, as seen in the CDB01 series. The control sections in this family are used in applications like handling and mounting systems, food processing and packaging machines, printing and paper processing machines, and machine tools.
The CDB01.1C-S3-EN2-EN2-NNN-NNN-L1-S-NN-FW is a model of the configurable control sections in the CDB01 series. It is designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is a configurable double-axis device of the BASIC UNIVERSAL range equipped with two encoder evaluation interfaces. These interfaces support the connection of encoders with a supply voltage of 5V, such as the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1 and Sense lines, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. The control section uses sercos III, an Ethernet-based version of SERCOS 2, for its communication and the module is in line with the standard IEE 802.3.
With its starting lockout safety feature that adheres to stop category 0 according to EN60204-1, the unintentional starting of the motor connected to the CDB01.1C-S3-EN2-EN2-NNN-NNN-L1-S-NN-FW is prevented. Its connection points feature spring terminals and screw terminal blocks. It also requires a typical inrush current of 6A and a maximum pulse width value of 60ms with a control voltage of 24V DC. The double-axis control section has a user-friendly control panel for its commissioning but can be operated with the IndraWorks software too.
